Cohen Murison Law: A New Website For A Toronto Immigration And Injury Lawyer

The firm

Cohen Murison Law is the Toronto practice of Benjamin Cohen-Murison, a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. He acts on immigration matters for clients anywhere with a Canadian file, much of it judicial review and mandamus at the Federal Court, and on personal injury, long-term disability and contract claims arising in Ontario. He works with clients in English and Spanish.

Where it started

His WordPress site loaded its home page and nothing else. Every other page, along with robots.txt and the sitemap, returned a server error, so Google could reach almost none of the site.

What we did

• Designed the site as a clickable prototype first. Benjamin reviewed it in two rounds, leaving his comments on the pages themselves.
• Built 14 practice pages, nine for immigration and five for injury and contract, each with its time limits, the steps of a claim, an enquiry form and answers to common questions.
• Added nine deadline calculators, from the 15 days a client has to go to the Federal Court after a refusal to the notice periods after a slip and fall.
• Wrote nine guides for the firm's Insights library, from judicial review to denied disability claims, and checked every legal point against the statute, regulation or official guidance it rests on.
• Kept the copy within the Law Society of Ontario's marketing rules, and published the firm's maximum contingency fee, which Rule 3.6-2.2 requires of a lawyer who advertises contingency fees.
• Built it on WordPress with the copy in fields Benjamin can edit, redirects for 14 old URLs, structured data that links him to his Law Society listing and LinkedIn, security headers, and an llms.txt file for AI assistants.

Where it stands

The new site went live on 20 October 2026 at cohenmurisonlaw.com, replacing the old one on the same domain. Ranking and traffic results will follow once Google has crawled the new pages.
